The Northamptonshire Logistics Awards were created to celebrate the successes of everyone working within the logistics industry at every level. Logistics is a key sector within the county’s integral golden triangle. Each year we look forward to bringing the community together and celebrating the fantastic work carried out at our evening of incredible award celebrations.

Apprentice of The Year – Sponsored by Northampton College
This award recognises the valuable contribution apprentices make to the company and local economy especially as the scope of apprenticeships includes higher/degree level apprenticeships. Whether the apprentice has had a positive impact on the company or has gone against the odds to achieve their objectives, this award will allow employers to recognise their hard work and showcase logistics talent in the county – what makes this individual stand out from other apprentices within the organisation?
Big Logistics Company of The Year – Sponsored by Woodfines
To enter this award, you must employ above 100 employees and have a base in Northamptonshire.
The judges will be looking for excellence in an organisation from across the diverse supply chain in Northamptonshire. They will be looking for an organisation which is making a difference in Northamptonshire.
Community Engagement Initiative of The Year – Sponsorship Available
Logistics is at the heart of Northamptonshire and at the heart of the communities we live in. This award is to recognise the outside engagements those in the sector continue to undertake, often unnoticed by the wider community.
What have you undertaken outside of your site? From tree planting to engaging with schools about logistics and careers, supporting community gardens and food banks to providing resources for community centres or skills for charities to expand and make a difference. Supporting individuals back into work – how have you made a difference?
Diversity & Inclusion Award – Sponsored by DSV
This category has been created to recognise organisations for harnessing a truly diverse workforce, businesses that excel in their commitment to equality and inclusion across all strands of diversity.
The award will cover excellence in all areas of diversity including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, neurodiversity.

Recognising the vital role and skills of drivers, HGV and LGV in the Logistics & Transport sector in Northamptonshire and the valuable contribution they make to the UK’s economy and acknowledge their abilities.
Environmental & Sustainability Award – Sponsorship Available
We are all looking at our wider surroundings and the impact we have on the planet and use of resources. What environmental projects have you undertaken to use resources more efficiently and minimise waste? Have you made sustainability a priority across your organisation and what have you undertaken? This could include Reuse and Recycle Initiatives, Biodiversity across your site and Colleague campaigns.

Continuous improvement in health safety and wellbeing is essential across the logistics supply chain – it’s important that the sector focuses on the necessity of creating a safe and healthy working environment that promotes the industry as one that is attractive and welcoming to all. This award recognises individuals or teams that have made significant contributions to improvements in health safety and wellbeing in the business or along the supply chain. It could be activity developed to support colleagues or that has led to demonstrable improvement in safety standards on a site or with partners, or wider community project, a new way of delivery?

Recognise the outstanding contribution made by an individual to the logistics sector and its supply chain within Northamptonshire over the past 12 months. Small Logistics Company of The Year – Sponsorship Available
To enter this award, you must employ below 100 FTE staff. The judges will be looking for excellence in an organisation from across the diverse supply chain in Northamptonshire. They will be looking for an organisation which is efficient, reactive, innovative, adaptable – the leading company within Northamptonshire.
Team of The Year – Sponsorship Available
To recognise a team who have worked together on a project for the benefit of the supply chain or outstanding contribution to the industry. Open to any team of any size in a logistics operation/supply chain organisation across Northamptonshire that has made a difference and is able to demonstrate they have worked closely together with great impact.
