Apprentice of The Year – Sponsored by Northampton College
This award recognises the valuable contribution apprentices make to the company and local economy especially as the scope of apprenticeships includes higher/ degree level apprenticeships. Whether the apprentice has had a positive impact on the company or has gone against the odds to achieve their objectives, this award will allow employers to recognise their hard work and showcase logistics talent in the county – what makes this individual stand out from other apprentices within the organisation?
Big Logistics Company of The Year – Sponsored by Xtra Express Logistics
To enter this award you must employ above 100 employees and have a base in Northamptonshire.
The judges will be looking for excellence in an organisation from across the diverse supply chain in Northamptonshire. They will be looking for an organisation which is making a difference in Northamptonshire.
Chairman’s Special Award – Sponsored by Rushlift
This award provides an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding success in results and/or personal development, activity, impact of an organisation and team or individual that may not fall into one of our categories and we want to celebrate their achievements.
We will be taking direct entries as well as asking our judges to review all entrants and finalists to all of the categories, highlighting outstanding entries/achievements that celebrate the best Northamptonshire has on offer.
Community Engagement Initiative of The Year – Sponsored by Logistics Solutions Group
Logistics is at the heart of Northamptonshire and at the heart of the communities we live in. The sector has responded to COVID and our local community in many ways and this award is to recognise the outside engagements those in the sector continue to undertake, often unnoticed by the wider community.
What have you undertaken outside of your site? From tree planting to engaging with schools about logistics and careers, supporting community gardens and food banks to providing resources for community centres or skills for charities to expand and make a difference. Supporting individuals back into work – how have you made a difference?

This category has been created to recognise organisations for harnessing a truly diverse workforce, businesses that excel in their commitment to equality and inclusion across all strands of diversity.

Continuous improvement in health safety and wellbeing is essential across the logistics supply chain – it’s important that the sector focuses on the necessity of creating a safe and healthy working environment that promotes the industry as one that is attractive and welcoming to all. The importance of supporting colleagues to work safely despite numerous challenges was demonstrated throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This award recognises individuals or teams that have made significant contributions to improvements in health safety and wellbeing in the business or along the supply chain. Recognising the vital role and skills of drivers in the Logistics & Transport sector in Northamptonshire and the valuable contribution they make to the UK’s economy and acknowledge their abilities. We want to recognise and celebrate the unsung heroes from across our sector – from warehouse colleagues to drivers, to transport managers, security to team leaders – our colleagues from across our organisations that help the sector and their colleagues to be the best.
